Tribe is an independent Irish-owned clothing store with roots going back to 1992.
It began as Everything American, a small shop on the top floor of Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre, originally focused on American sportswear like basketball merch, American football gear and the culture around it. As interest in US brands grew, the store expanded into a larger unit in the centre and evolved into what became known as Tribe.
From early on, Tribe built its identity around American brands and lifestyle clothing, stocking names like DC, Roxy, Quiksilver and Vans. Over the years, the shop became known as a destination for something a little different, even welcoming the occasional unexpected customer along the way.
In 2000, Tribe moved to its current unit on the second floor of Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre, coinciding with the arrival of Carhartt WIP. We were one of the first stores in Ireland to introduce the brand, which went on to become a defining part of the shop. As fashion shifted through the early 2000s, Tribe naturally moved towards streetwear and skate influenced brands, reflecting the culture and customers of the time.
While the style has evolved, the core of Tribe has stayed the same. We are a family-run, independent business focused on well-made clothing, trusted brands and pieces that people actually wear. Today, our selection is more refined, but still rooted in quality, function and longevity.
Tribe has always changed with the times, and that won’t stop. Wherever the future leads, the focus remains the same: doing things properly, staying independent, and building something that lasts.
